Olive oil is a lot more than just a cooking oil or salad dressing. It’s also an effective moisturiser as it promotes hydration and prevents skin ageing. But whipping up a batch of olive oil moisturiser at home can sometimes be quite difficult. This article will guide you in making your own, gently scented DIY moisturiser. As it’s the winter months, many of us are looking for ways to soothe skin dryness and alleviate some uncomfortable skin irritations now that the cool breeze is blowing through our windows and doors. But as well as being a natural humectant (drawing moisture from the air), olive oil has also been shown to effectively nourish and hydrate skin, leading it to firm up over time. Nowadays, with the demand for organic products increasing, so are the uses of many organic substances like olive oil.
