What is the difference between vacant and vacate?

Vacate means to leave a previously occupied place, for example, a seat or a house. The status of the chair or the house (or where ever it may be) after a person vacates from it is vacant. So a vacant position means that the position is unoccupied now. If you want to clear your space, you must remove unnecessary items from your workspace.

This will make it easier for you to access all of your tools and other equipment. In a similar fashion, you must remove anything that is of no use.
