Exterior
The Suzuki Ertiga 2022 Philippines now comes in two additional color options: Dignity Brown and Splendid Silver, in addition to the previous colors. The MPV measures 4,395mm in length, 1,690mm in height, and 1,735mm in width. A striking chrome winged front grille stands out on the fascia, and the car rides on two-toned machine alloy wheels. A back door garnish with a chrome inlay accentuates the rear appearance.
The XL6 receives considerable improvements over the Ertiga, including a new strong grille with sweeping ‘X-bar’ motif and Quad chamber LED reflector headlights with LED DRLs. 16-inch machine-finish two-tone alloy wheels are fitted to the premium MPV. The vehicle is also available in six monochrome and three dual-tone color schemes. A new back door garnish with chrome insert and a back door spoiler are among the additional design components. The XL6 has somewhat greater proportions in terms of dimensions due to cladding features all around. The XL6 measures 4,445mm in length, 1,755mm in height, and 1,775mm in width. Both automobiles have a 2,740mm standard wheelbase.
Interior
The Ertiga is only available in a seven-seat configuration, with dual-tone seat fabric and a new metallic teak-wooden finish. The second-row seats include a one-touch slide and recline mechanism for simple access to the third row. The Ertiga comes with roof-mounted AC vents, automatic headlights, cruise control, a smartphone holder, and more.
The XL6, on the other hand, offers heated first-row seats, a seven-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system, and Suzuki Connect, which includes over 40 functions. The vehicle is only available in a six-seat configuration, with captain seats in the second row and reclining third row seats. The Ertiga shares the majority of the other features.
Engine
The next-generation 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine delivers 102bhp at 6,000rpm and 136.8Nm of torque at 4,400rpm in both models. However, due to weight variances, the cars’ fuel efficiency statistics varied slightly. In the Ertiga, the manual version yields 20.51 kmpl, while the automated version yields 20.30 kmpl. The manual version of the XL6 achieves 20.97 kmpl, while the automated version achieves 20.27 kmpl.
A 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with CNG capability is also available for the Ertiga. It generates 99bhp at 6,000rpm and 136Nm of torque at 4,400rpm in petrol mode, and 87bhp at 5,500rpm and 121.5Nm of torque at 4,200rpm in CNG mode. This model comes equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. The CNG variant has a fuel efficiency of 26.11 km/kg.
Conclusion
The option is very obvious here. The Ertiga is aimed at consumers searching for a seven-seater with a modest feature set, while the XL6 is aimed at buyers looking for a six-seater with rough aesthetic characteristics. However, because the XL6 is based on the Ertiga’s top-spec model, it comes at a premium price. As a result, automobile owners may choose between the two depending on their personal tastes and preferences.
